Construction Industry
The expression "cash flow is the lifeblood of the construction industry" is well-worn, but is as true now as it has ever been.
Our construction practice is a large and growing UK practice area - one which is equally adept at handling contentious and non-contentious work, and which understands the need to protect clients' cash flow and margins alike.
Our contentious work covers the full range: proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court, arbitration, adjudication and alternative dispute resolution. Almost half of the work we do is in this area.
We also provide a full non-contentious service, including advising on and drafting building and engineering contracts, collateral warranties, bonds, guarantees and professional appointments. Working alongside our commercial property, social housing, licensing, town planning and parliamentary specialists we are able to offer a "one stop" service to clients involved in infrastructure projects and all kinds of property development, whether for public or private sector purposes.
Because we understand not only the legal issues surrounding construction but the wider business realities that govern it, we are frequently able to suggest novel, practical solutions to our clients' problems. We are pro-active, innovative and we understand that our work has to be not just legally watertight, but commercially realistic too.
